The Vision
We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of a new Sandhills Community Church location in the Denny Terrace community! We recognize the importance of new congregations to effectively reach diverse demographics with the message of Jesus Christ.
Columbia's population is experiencing steady growth and we believe our vision for a new Sandhills location mindfully aligns with demographic insight; and has strategic outreach initiatives that offer new opportunities to reach a growing and diverse community effectively.
By opening a Sandhills location in the Denny Terrace community, we plant seeds of hope, resilience, and togetherness; that can only come through the power of the gospel, and a community of people leading others to live Christ-centered lives.

the project
The fact we have a building to work with is truly a blessing! However, it has largely gone unused and unmaintained for many years; so there is quite a bit of renewal and renovation required before we can use it to its fullest potential.
The total amount needed for the project is $550,000. Sandhills has committed $300,000 towards the renovations and upgrades, from reserve funds.
We are trusting God, to move through His people, to raise an additional $250,000 in order to effectively reach the Denny Terrace Community and further the work that we feel He is calling us to do.
the ask
Between May and August, our goal is to raise $250,000 so we can complete the renovations and furnishings before we officially launch the Denny Terrace location. Here is the breakdown of our fundraising goal:
$100,000 to renovate and furnish the auditorium and kids space on the main floor.
